Cost to be aware of:

is a great way to ensure no damage happens to the glamper. This is a great option for beginner glampers.

Dump Fees are to empty the tanks on the glamper. Campers Have a couple of tanks, being a home on wheels if you don’t select a full- hook up campsite, typically there is a dump station located at the campground. Now, when you are boon-docking* (setting up somewhere without electric, sewer, and water – it is necessary to find a KOA or campsite near you that offers this service. The DIY method of emptying the tanks is about $30, when it is done for you it cost anywhere from $150-$200.

If you are planning on boon-docking it is necessary to rent a generator with a travel trailer. They do not have them built in. Think of a mobile home without a sewer connection. We still have to get electric to the camper for it to run. Although travel trailer have a battery, it is for emergencies only. RVs (recreational vehicles) have generators.

Towing equipment is ball, hitch, and sway bars. Glamp Haven provides all the necessary equipment for you to have a safe towing experience.

Extra Cleaning fees/Damage – many third party sites like RVshare , Rvezy , and Rvandgo DO NOT offer glamping – The cost for cleaning is typically less because you are suppose to just be renting the equipment form these sites to keep the prices low. So, if an owners camper comes back in a condition not suitable it is common to charge extra.

Insurance and Service fees are common as well. If you tow the camper you need insurance and if you just stay in it you need the same insurance. Silly huh? But since it is in the possession of a non owner the camper has to be covered differently. The service fee is most always covers the transaction fee. Fees are fun aren’t they? Kidding, but at least if we understand them it can seem to curb the pain.
